I lost 4 stones and i have never been more happier – Rose Hendricks
What a bright sunny day it was today, beautiful right? Just love spring season. ❤
It has indeed been a great productive day for me, even had a great sweaty workout at the gym, just what i needed. Feel so fresh and proud of myself!
I am just in one of those positive moods today and so on that note, i feel like a success story post is in need.
The success story post of the day, is all about
Firstly i just wanted to say that i feel so blessed, to know an incredible happy go lucky person . Being at the age of 41 and making a huge lifestyle change, i admire her for not thinking its to late to make lifestyle changes and with that mindset it shows with some handwork and motivation we all can achieve what we want and be proud of yourselves.
I did a Q+A with Rose, just to give her side and the challenges she faced after all this post is dedicated to her.
Question: Tell me a little about yourself?
Answer: My name is Rose I’m 41 and have had a weight problem for most of my life. In 2013 I was 39 lb overweight had had a few health problems – always tired. lack of motivation with exercise and do activites with my son. I had no energy and i did NOT look hot or feel it. So I finally, found the courage to wanting to lose weight and feel good about myself before I reached the big 40. Trying all sorts of diets, example: juicing diets which lasted about a week. I lost 10Lbs but I couldn’t sustain that, once I started eating again I gained 3lbs back I didn’t want to gain the remaining half stone again so I looked for a better solution to losing weight and eating healthy.
Question: What have you, noticed or even felt since losing weight?
Answer: It wasn’t until I kicked my workouts into consistent high gear and seriously dedicated myself to clean eating — that’s when major results began to unfold. The best things about losing weight I have so much confidence. I can go into a normal clothes shop and pick up clothes and they fit, without feeling frumpy or sad and I feel a lot better and healthier in myself.
Question: What is your favourite food to eat? What is the recipe?
Answer: I still eat everything I used to eat too i just cook it differently. I can have a burger and chips which is homemade, that way i can make to taste and control what i eat. Did she say burger and chips? Oh yes, pleaseeeeeeee.

Add to a large mixing bowl, then sprinkle over a tiny pinch of sea salt and black pepper, and ½ a teaspoon of smoked paprika
Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, then toss everything together to coat then Spread out into a single layer onto a baking tray, then bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.
Question: What motivates you to continue with this, lifestyle?
Answer: The health benefits motivate me to continue with this lifestyle , I am eating good food not grabbing unhealthy junk snacks on the go which i know can sometimes be the only thing when were so busy and constantly on the go, but try pre making the night before if you can, so you can grab and go. Its a constant battle, its not easy but its worth it and i am also educating my son to cook at home. I never want to be overweight again! Did i mention i also love Zumba its fun and I love the music gets you in the groove
Question: what are your recommendations, when eating well?
Answer: Planning is the key and sticking to it. Take lunch with you to work or if you are out for the day so your not tempted by the wrong foods.
Don’t wait to get started on your own journey. Work hard. Make it count. And never, ever quit.
